Yesterday, WSFT joined an amicus brief arguing in favor of a law banning abortions on the grounds of an unborn child’s disability or sex.
Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky challenged this law–a heartless low even for them.
The brief, filed in the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, was filed in cooperation with several organizations fighting on behalf of children with Down syndrome and other genetic disabilities, including Fondation Jérôme Lejeune, Saving Downs, and Down Pride.
The case is Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky v. Commissioner, Indiana State Department of Health.
WSFT will continue to update you about the progress of this lawsuit.
